The ASDSM is Alberta's oldest dental sleep medicine study club. Founded in 2015, the study club has grown to include local chapters in Edmonton and Calgary, along with a large membership across the province who attend study club online.
We believe that Obstructive Sleep Apnea is a medical disease, and that dentistry plays a crucial role in providing patient care to manage this disease. Our mandate is to bridge the gap between medicine and dentistry. We accomplish this goal in three key ways:
- Provide education about the medical management of OSA, and it's disease comorbidities
- Teach progressive, evidence-based dental sleep medicine treatment paradigms
- Assist networking healthcare providers across disciplines to enhance patient care
The Study Club meets quarterly, featuring a host of multi-disciplinary guest speakers. Members have the option of attending study clubs in-person and online. Furthermore,
ASDSM members have on-demand access to lecture recordings stored in our secure archive site.
